Finders Keepers AW26 Recap
What a weekend that was! Here I am writing all about it around end of May, wishing I wrote it earlier when it was fresh in my memory! Why do I always do things until last minute 😩
But I had an absolute banger of a weekend, doors were open from the 1st of May Friday 4pm to 9pm, and the weekend 2nd and 3rd was 10am to 5pm both days.
Check out my table set up when it was fresh on Friday arvo!
And of course this being an artist market, I repped other artists' jewelery pieces on my person and got many compliments! They are soooo cute, I'll link them below at the end of the post.

I wish I documented the journey to and from the market, the suitcases and stuff, but whenever I do a big table in Sydney the car is always P A C K E D. Luckily Jonnie is an absolute king when it comes to tessellation and that was domain. It also helps a lot he enjoys driving in general, unlike me.

Both Jonnie and I were absolutely smashed and we couldn't see the floor until about 3.30-4pm on both weekend days. We had soooo many of you offering to come around and refill our water which is so sweet, plus several of you told me you read my newsletters WOOOO! That was a HUGE win and made me want to keep going at this newsletter thing!
I also had a very sweet customer surprise me with a chocolate dessert and lemonade which was so kind of them, shout out to the lovely Noor! They also got me water and snacks for Animaga too, I wish wish wish I took a photo why am I do bad at documenting these things 😭 well it is my first time writing a blog like this, so mistakes are bound to happen and I'll remember for next time!
I will say though it was REALLY REALLY F***KING HOT in Carriageworks, which sucked heaps. The FK team did really well to manage the best they can, and brought in huge industrial fans on Sunday but it was like 18 degrees outside but inside it was 35 degrees with no airflow. I had a poor little girl pass out right in front of my store, and apparently another customer who bought from me not too long ago also passed out. It was quite dangerous, I really do hope Carriageworks does something about it since it has been fine previous years. Had to do a shout out on Saturday for attendees to make sure everyone is safe and bring lots of water for Sunday attendees!

Of course, I had to do a little shopping myself too; so when it was quiet around Sunday morning during low-sensory hour, I did a super quick round. I'll link who the artists are down below at the end of the post too.

By the time Sunday 2pm came around, I was POOPED. I was ready to go home, taking breaks in between, things really slowed down 3.30 onwards which is to be expected on a Sunday. Once the market was finished, we packed up our stuff and said goodbyes to our artist friends and left the building, celebrating with order-in pizza - the best way to finish off a busy weekend and a big lazy girl day on Monday.
If you made it this far, thank you so much for reading this and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did writing it. Will you be coming to the next Finders Keepers? Or will I see you at another art market or con? Let me know in the comments!
Ending this post with my daughter angel Soup xo
